When transforming the Kensington Olympia penthouse, we worked in collaboration with our client to bring her vision of a timeless yet opulent monochrome colour scheme to life.
We designed the dressing room and added playfulness in the reception rooms by using a beautiful blue Italian Valpain paint on the walls. Our decorators were specifically trained in the application for a sublime finish.
In total, more than 1000m2 of walls and ceilings were redecorated. Thanks to the high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows allowing an influx of natural light, the colour choice is not overpowering.
Instead, it instantly creates a bold yet weightless atmosphere. By keeping the remaining walls, ceilings, and kitchen white, the space is further bright, lifted, and welcoming.
Our designers also perfectly drew the line between functionality and aesthetic appeal. For everyday convenience, our team installed new smart home lighting.
In the bedroom, we added high-end bespoke wardrobes for an elegant yet practical use of space and supplied and installed amazing glass shoe shelving from floor to ceiling. A dressing room was created next to the master bedroom for additional storage, again using custom-built dark wood cabinets for a seductive feel.
We created a new door so that the client could access her dressing room directly from the bedroom.
In the master bedroom, we cladded a wall with bespoke bevelled edge mirrors for the illusion of space.
Furnishing and supply of new TVs was conducted by our key partners. We then built a recess within stone and timber panelling walls to have the screens sit flush to the wall.
The penthouse also includes a large dining area seating up to ten people, with the spacious open-plan layout adding fluidity so all guests can stay connected.
